Health Ministry: Over 270 Cardiac Catheterizations, Open-heart Surgeries Performed for Pilgrims at KAMC

King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC) in Makkah has successfully conducted more than 270 specialized operations for pilgrims between the 1st of Dhul-Qi’dah and the 6th day of Dhul-Hijjah. These operations included 260 cardiac catheterizations and 11 open-heart surgeries, benefiting 80 pilgrims in total.

The Ministry of Health stated that the medical procedures offered encompassed a range of services, such as interventional catheterization, open-heart surgery, and various therapeutic treatments related to heart electrocardiograms. These treatments involved procedures like heart pacemaker implantation, ventricular defibrillator placement, and the application of modern techniques for heart electrophysiology, all aimed at addressing heart disorders.

The Ministry emphasized that these efforts align with the strategic plans of King Abdullah Medical City, which continuously leverages its specialized capabilities to provide exceptional medical services around the clock, ensuring the best possible care for patients.
