Health Ministry receives a set of medical supplies from Indonesia

Damascus, SANA- Health Ministry received on Tuesday a set of medical supplies, including surgical tools and medicines provided by Indonesia, to support the efforts of the health sector in treating the earthquake-affected people.

During his meeting with a medical delegation from the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee in Indonesia and after receiving the medical supplies at the Ministry’s building, Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash stressed the importance of the participation of Indonesian doctors with doctors in Syria to face the repercussions of the earthquake and exchange experiences.

Al-Ghobash pointed out to the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Indonesia.

In turn, the Indonesian ambassador to Syria, Wajid Fauzi, noted that the medical delegation, which includes many specialties, will visit the affected provinces to see the reality of hospitals and the priority requirements, in addition to distributing an additional set of medicines in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC).
