Health Ministry receives medical aid provided by the UAE Red Crescent

Damascus, SANA- Ministry of Health received 5 trucks loaded with medical supplies and medicines, in addition to a refrigerator containing insulin for treating patients with diabetes, provided by the Emirates Red Crescent, in Damascus.

Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash noted in a statement that the aid will be transferred to the earthquake-affected provinces, where the transition has taken place from the emergency stage to the post-disaster stage.

Al-Ghobash expressed his thanks to the UAE leadership and government for their constant support.

Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the UAE in Damascus Counsellor, AbdulHakeem al-Nuaimi, affirmed the UAE’s support for Syria and standing by it by running an aid bridge that contains relief, humanitarian and medical supplies.

Al-Nuaimi pointed out that the UAE attaches great importance to the health of the individual and society, and from this standpoint, medical supplies were shipped.

In turn, Head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), Eng. Khaled Hboubati, noted to the great efforts excreted by the UAE Red Crescent and the importance of the aid provided, adding that the UAE support is not limited to the earthquake disaster only.
