During May 2022, a total of 241 out of 291 active EWARS reporting sites in NES have provided disease surveillance data through the early warning alert and response system (EWARS) which represents 82.8% responsiveness rate.

A total of 104,544 consultations were reported from 241 health facilities in NES in May 2022.

The total number of cases reported by the EWARS was 31,072.

The leading causes of morbidity among all age groups are the influenza-like Illnesses (13,126 cases or 42% of all reported cases) and acute diarrhea (12,244 cases or 39% of reported cases).

372 out of the total reported cases were SARI cases (1.19 %) and 422 cases of leishmaniasis were reported during May 2022.
