Industrial Development Fund to Launch Training Camp for Third Industrial Hackathon Tomorrow

The training camp for participants in the third edition of the Industrial Hackathon 2024, organized by the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), is scheduled to kick off on Thursday in a two-day event aimed to harness the creativity of citizens and residents, directing their energy towards developing innovative solutions to challenges faced by national manufacturers.

A total of 206 participants, representing 50 teams, will compete across three tracks: design, production, and sustainability. The training camp will include insightful sessions led by challenge owners, as well as guidance and discussion sessions conducted by industry experts. A manufacturing lab will be available to assist participants in implementing their ideas using various technologies, including 3D printers.

The camp will conclude with a closing ceremony and an Industrial Hackathon exhibition on Saturday, where participants will showcase their projects and proposed solutions. The event will be attended by Minister of Industry and Mine
ral Resources and SIDF Chairman Bandar Alkhorayef, who will award the winners and participants with valuable prizes totaling SAR1.4 million.

The third edition of the Industrial Hackathon is held in partnership with Riyad Bank, Alat Company, GASCO, Sipchem, and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. It is sponsored by Maaden and Al-Arabia companies.
