The Interior Ministry on Saturday announced that it has taken legal measures against 56,689 persons for not wearing face masks in security campaigns conducted in a span of a week.

As many as 5,739 violations of shop closure decisions were also detected, said the ministry in a statement.

The move falls within the framework of the Cabinet’s decision on taking all needed preventive measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, the statement added.
