Islamic Coalition Receives East African Standby Force Delegation


Riyadh: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received a delegation from the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Secretariat led by Brigadier General Paul Kahuria Njema in Riyadh today.

The two parties discussed cooperation, and were briefed about the IMCTC and the EASF.

The delegation toured the coalition headquarters, where they were briefed on the latest publications on combating intellectual, media, and military terrorism, and financing it.

IMCTC Secretary-General Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi said the African delegation’s visit is part of joint efforts to combat terrorism. He highlighted EASF’s significant role in enhancing security and stability in the East African region, and boosting the military capabilities and cooperation between countries in East Africa. EASF also provides military support and assistance to member states during crises.

Brigadier General Njema lauded the progress and achievements of the Islamic Coalition in combating terrorism, and emphasi
zed the importance of the coalition to serving both civil and military sectors in member states.
