– The University of Jeddah has hosted the first Arab Scientific Conference on the safeguarding and empowerment of families (Family and Digital Transformation-Opportunities and Challenges). The conference garnered the involvement of over eight specialized entities and institutions focused on supporting and empowering families and attracted over 1,000 attendees from all sectors of society.
The three-day conference focused on the family as the fundamental unit of society and digital transformation, a crucial component of the National Transformation Program, one of the Vision 2030 initiatives, through dialogue sessions and workshops to achieve a harmonious equilibrium between the advancement of digital technology and its contribution to fostering a thriving family.
By hosting a group of specialists and researchers in the family field, the conference highlighted the manifestations of digital transformation with its negative and positive effects on the individual, family, and society. Importantly, it found sol
utions to evaluate and activate the proper handling of this information revolution, emphasizing the potential for positive outcomes.
