In 2021, Jordan issued 56 percent more work permits to Syrian refugees compared with 2020, according to official data published by the UNHCR and the Syrian Refugee Unit at the Jordanian Ministry of Labour. This is the highest annual number of work permits issued to Syrian refugees since 2016.
