Information Minister, Ramzi Jreij, said that “the key to a salvation plan for the Lebanese crisis starts by electing a president for the country, forming cabinet and approving a new electoral law,” hoping that the presidential election “would be released from imprisonment.”

Minister Jreij said that Iran “is, through Hezbollah, hampering the path to presidential election and keeping the election pending developments in Syria.”

Turning to the Lebanese present in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf, Jreij explained that the Lebanese in the Gulf were not refugees as they have been there since years and have already got integrated with their surrounding and contributed to improving the economic situation there. “I don’t think there is any measure set against Lebanese as there are is no fear regarding Lebanese as a community that got integrated with its surroundings in Gulf countries.”

Jreij saw that local security was under control, calling for adhering to the Lebanese Army and security forces in this regard.
