Khatib: waste treatment, combatting Litani pollution our top priorities

Environment Minister, Tarek Khatib, welcomed the environmental cooperation with the Netherlands and Canada, confirming “the ministry’s top priorities today are to set a plan for waste treatment that includes sustainable solutions and then the fight against pollution in the Litani River.”

The minister’s remarks came on Friday while receiving at his office the Charge d’Affaires of the Netherlands.

“Netherlands is keen on providing assistance regarding solid waste treatment and the Litani River Basin pollution,” the Charge d’Affaires stressed.
