KSrelief Signs Joint Executive Program to Provide Shelter, Rehabilitate Homes Damaged by Earthquake in Aleppo, Syria

Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Monday, via videoconference, signed a joint executive program with a civil society institution to implement the second phase of a project to provide shelter and rehabilitate homes for families affected by the earthquake in Al-Bab City in Syria’s Aleppo.

KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz signed the program at the centre headquarters in Riyadh.

The program aims to rehabilitate 743 homes for families whose houses were slightly or moderately damaged by the earthquake and provide 31 makeshift housing units for families most affected by the earthquake and have become homeless.

The project also aims to restore the homes to their pre-earthquake condition by renovating essential and service elements of the houses and replacing damaged parts. The homes and makeshift housing units that will benefit 4,500 individuals will also be equipped with primary necessities, such as solar panels for
electricity, new water tanks, and ventilation.

This project is part of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to assist people affected by the earthquake in Syria.
