KSrelief Supervisor General Holds Talks in Paris with UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan

Paris: Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Abdullah Al Rabeeah met here yesterday with United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan Clementine Nkweta-Salami, on the sidelines of the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and neighbouring countries co-organized by the European Union and France.

The two officials discussed matters of common interest related to the humanitarian situation in Sudan and the most prominent topics raised at the conference.

Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted the relief and humanitarian efforts carried out by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, for Sudan, conveying that 13 relief planes and four relief ships were sent to Sudan, and 43 humanitarian projects worth over $60 million were implemented in Sudan and neighbouring countries in partnership with international and local organizations. He added that 20 volunteer medical teams were also sent to Sudan.

Nkweta-Salami commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts to assist the Sudanese
people and expressed aspiration for more cooperation to support humanitarian work in Sudan.
