Kuwait, An Amiri decree was issued appointing Shaikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister-designate tasked with forming the new government, as Deputy to His Highness Shaikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, during his absence from the country.

According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Amiri decree stipulates that this procedure will continue until the appointment of a Crown Prince.
