Kuwait records 256 infections, two deaths

– Kuwait on Tuesday recorded 256 new coronavirus infections, and two virus-induced deaths over the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA that total fatalities rose to 2,395, and the infections to 407,139, while 526 patients were cured today making total recoveries 398,393 with a recovery rate of 97.85 percent of the infections.

He added that 6,351 patients are receiving health care treatments, including 187 at intensive care units, and 405 at COVID-19 section.

Al-Sanad noted that 10,259 patients were tested in the past 24 hours, increasing the number of tests to 3,621,190 with an infection rate of 2.50 percent.

He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus.
