Kuwait’s assistant foreign minister for human rights Ambassador Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Duaij Al-Sabah on Wednesday lauded Cairo Center for settling disputes and maintaining peace, underscoring its role in habilitating national and foreign cadres in these realms.
In a statement to KUNA, Sheikha Jawaher, currently visiting Egypt, affirmed the center’s role in empowering women particularly with respect of peace and security keeping, also indicating at its potentials for training on crises management and resisting extremism.
Sheikha Jawaher, who was speaking as she visited the center headquarters, was welcomed by the director Ambassador Ahmad Abdulatif, who welcomed the establishment of cooperation with the State of Kuwait in the realms of training, habilitation, expertise swap, and mediation. He expressed readiness to train Kuwaiti cadres and aid women to play a role in peace mediation.
The center has focused its efforts on potentials building in Egypt and the African continent, he said, expressing readiness
to expand activities to other Arab states.
The State of Kuwait Ambassador to Egypt Ghanem Al-Ghanem accompanied Sheikha Jawaher during her visit to the center and meeting with its officers.
