Larijani: Advisory presence in Syria at the request of its legitimate government

Tehran, Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council Ali Larijani reiterated that Iran’s advisory presence in Syria and Iraq is upon a request of the legal governments of these countries to help combating terrorism.

The goal of America to create Daesh terrorist organization was to undermine security in Iran, Syria and Afghanistan, fuel violence in the region and to create a major security problem to the Iranian people, Larijani said in a speech Thursday.

He stressed in his speech that Iran will not succumb to force and proved its power in the region, describing the recent statements by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on the nuclear deal as ridiculous.
