LAST TERRORIST SITE IN ALEPPO PROVINCE SURROUNDED BY SYRIAN ARMY
DAMASCUS, May 27 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA)–Units of the Syrian Army are located some three kilometers away from the community of Maskanah, the last site of the Islamic State (DAESH), in the southeastern province of Aleppo, said today military sources.
Following the full control of various sites in the region, including the community of Sukkariyah, the army units led by Colonel Suheil Hassan advanced to the surroundings of Maskanah, 100 kilometers southeast from the city of Aleppo.
According to the reports, DAESH withdrew from that community, located near Assad, the largest dam in Syria, which has a population of 16,000 inhabitants settled next to the eastern bank of the Euphrates river.
The city of Manbij is also located in that region and occupied in the surroundings by equal shares of the Syrian Army and the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces, from the armed opposition.
In the northern area, some forces are settled so far without clashes reported, scattered units of the Turkish army, units from the self-defense Kurdish forces and special troops from the United States, said the sources.–NNN-PRENSA LATINA
