Astana, Russian President’s Special Envoy to Syria Alexander Lavrentiev said that guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria are coordinating and consulting on the list of participants in the Syrian National Dialogue Congress due to be held in the Russian city of Sochi.

Lavrentiev, who heads the Russian delegation to Astana meeting, said in statement on Friday that the three guarantor states of the cessation of hostilities agreement (Russia, Iran and Turkey) are currently coordinating and consulting the nominated participants who will be invited to attend the Congress, including the Syrian Kurds.

He said that the issue of specifying the participants representing the Syrian Kurds does not hinder work for setting of the date and the format of the Congress, adding that Russia sought to ensure the most comprehensive representation of the Syrian Kurds in Sochi.
