The media department at the Lebanese Forces (LF) issued a statement on Saturday denying rumors dispersed by certain media outlets stating that Mehrab prefers holding legislative elections under the sixty’s law.

“The LF confirms that it will not spare an effort to bring down this law, which is unfair and unrepresentative [of voters]. And the LF will endeavor to decree a new law that embodies the Lebanese charter, which was hit hard when the Lebanese Taef was replaced with a Syrian one.”

The statement reminded of the efforts exerted by the LF to decree a new mixed law, which married between the majoritarian and proportional ones.

The LF wished upon all media outlets to be careful and factual in their dissemination of news.
