Locals in Hasaka countryside confront attempts to seize their houses by Turkish occupation mercenaries

The locals in Makhtala village in Hasaka northern countryside have confronted an attempt by the Turkish occupation mercenaries of terrorist organizations to seize a number of houses to turn them into bases and prisons for them.

Terrorists of the so-called “Sultan Murad” and “al-Hamza Division” backed by the Turkish regime raided Makhtala village, west of Ras al-Ain city in the northern countryside, they opened fire randomly at the locals to intimidate them and tried to seize a number of houses, local sources told SANA.

The sources added that amid the ratcheting of popular rejection in all occupied northern countryside villages to the criminal acts of terrorists and the Turkish regime schemes aimed at displacing the citizens in order to seize the houses, the locals took to the streets, confronted those mercenaries, threw stones at them and expelled them from the village.

On Monday, the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries destroyed a number of houses in Tal Halaf village, west of Ras al-Ayn which is located at the Turkish border, expelled their residents at gun point and assaulted those who tried to stay.
