MIKATI DURING HIS PATRONAGE OF ‘NEW PASSENGER TERMINAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT’ LAUNCHING: DIFFICULTIES WILL NOT DETER US FROM CONTINUING OUR WORK TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY

Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Monday affirmed that “difficulties will not deter us from continuing our work to save our country, and we call on everyone to support us in this workshop and cooperate to push the advancement process forward.’ Premier Mikati further said that the International Monetary Fund delegation, which visited him today [Monday], “renewed its support for Lebanon and its hope that we will speed up the approval of the required reform steps to sign the final agreement with the fund, which would open the doors of hope for a better Lebanon and additional measures of support by the international community.” The Prime Minister was speaking during his patronage at the Grand Serail of the ceremony to launch the project to construct a new passenger terminal at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, at the invitation of Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transport, Ali Hamieh. The ceremony took place in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Saadé Chami, Irish Minister of State James Brown, Minister Hamieh, Caretaker Ministers of Tourism Walid Nassar, Industry George Bouchikian, Agriculture Abbas Hajj Hassan, Youth and Sports Georges Kallas, Telecommunications Johnny Corm, Information Ziad Makary, and Economy and Trade Amin Salam, as well as several other dignitaries.
