Damascus: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, has denied allegations of unrest within university campuses, stating that student housing conditions remain calm and orderly. He dismissed video clips circulating on social media that purportedly show tension, clarifying that these are outdated and do not represent the current situation.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, Dr. Al-Halabi emphasized that relationships among students are marked by mutual understanding and civil harmony. He stated that all parties are committed to sustaining stability and mutual respect, and are actively avoiding any actions that might incite discord or division within the student community.
In his statement on Thursday, Al-Halabi urged media outlets and social media users to ensure the accuracy of information before dissemination and to refrain from sharing outdated clips. He reiterated that spreading rumors could lead to unnecessary confusion among students.
