Ministry of Islamic Affairs Inaugurates Gifts, Fasting Programs of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for People in S. Africa and Neighboring Countries

Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance inaugurated today at the Kingdom’s Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift program for distributing dates and Iftar for those fasting in Ramadan for the year 1444 AH, in South Africa and the countries affiliated with the Embassy’s attaché.

The program was inaugurated in the presence of the Kingdom’s Ambassador to South Africa, Sultan Al-Anqari, the President of the South African Hajj and Umrah Council, Shaheen Essop, and senior officials, media professionals, and Embassy staff.

The Embassy’s religious attaché stated that these two programs will cover most of the cities and countries affiliated with the attaché, adding that five tons of dates have been allocated to South Africa and nearby countries, five tons to Zambia and nearby countries, 10 tons to Mozambique and nearby countries, and three tons to Mauritius and nearby countries, expecting the number of beneficiaries of these two programs to reach more than 70,000 Muslims.

Muslims in South Africa and the countries affiliated with the attaché expressed their sincere thanks to the Kingdom and its wise leadership for implementing these programs and for their keenness to care for Muslims around the world.
