My visit to Damascus aims to enhance bilateral economic relations, Iranian Minister of Roads Eslami says

Damascus- -Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Head of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Economic Committee, Mohammad Eslami said that the most important thing that must be implemented as a higher economic committee between Iran and Syria is to work on activating activities of the private sector between the two countries smoothly and widely because it is an important and reliable sector in various fields of construction, transportation and the financial sector to achieve development and prosperity in these sectors.

Upon arrival evening at Damascus International Airport on Tuesday, Eslami, in a statement to journalists, said that the exchanged visits between the two countries might help developing and enhancing economic relations and activating joint work.

He noted that the agenda of his visit to Syria will include reviewing the previous programs and plans and working to speed up the implementation of joint economic cooperation agreements.

Upon receiving Eslami, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer al-Khalil, affirmed in a similar statement that the visit of Iranian delegation will include meetings that aim to activate articles of the agreement signed between the two sides in 2019 and to implement it as soon as possible, in addition to meetings with the private business sector to discuss a number of issues and stimulate this sector to play an active role in the commercial, investment, banking, public work and housing fields.
