Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said Friday that our region has entered a very different stage, deeming the current juncture as difficult and painful, laden with many risks, challenges, sacrifices and steadfastness.

Sayyed Nasrallah’s fresh words on Friday came at a ceremony held by Hezbollah, marking the International Al-Quds Day, at Sayyed al-Shuhada complex in Beirut southern suburbs.

The ceremony was attended by the Representative of President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, MP Hikmat Deeb, the Representative of House Speaker, Nabih Berri, MP Ayoub Hmayyid, Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammed Fateh Ali, and Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour.

Scores of Palestinian, Lebanese and Arab political and party dignitaries attended said ceremony.

Nasrallah said that the popular movements which occurred in several countries were nationally truthful, authentic protests, rather than the product of a conspiracy or schemes. However, due to the absence of wise leadership and national harmony, as well as the ability of the United States and its regional tools, these movements were exploited and dragged towards serving certain objectives, including hegemony over our region, funds, oil, and most importantly ending the Palestinian cause and reaching a settlement between the Zionist entity and the Islamic, Arab countries.

The Secretary General also pointed out that the Palestinian people are enduring immense difficulties inside Palestine, aimed at making them despair and accepting “the bare minimum.”

He also noted that Iran is currently facing economic sanctions, political pressures and conspiracies, in a bid to isolate it and render it the enemy instead of Israel. He also noted attempts to move the war to Iran via the Takfiri groups.

However, Nasrallah stressed that the “terrorist battle” with Iran is a losing battle and shall have counter effects.

“Iran will remain supportive of Palestine, the Palestinian cause and the resistance movements in the region, whatever the circumstances or pressure,” Nasrallah underlined.

On the other hand, Nasrallah branded Syria as the vital state in the axis of the resistance, a key backer of the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine, as well as a huge impediment in the face of any all-out Arab settlement at the account of the Arab interests.

“That’s why they attempted during the past years to topple its [Syria’s] political regime and destroy its army,” Nasrallah said.

“Syria, thanks to resilience, steadfastness and resistance, surmounted the threat of toppling the regime, and attempts to isolate it geographically,” Nasrallah said, stressing Syria’s constant political position in the axis of the resistance.

Commenting on Lieberman’s statement that “Israel does not intend to wage a war, neither in fall, nor in summer,” Nasrallah said “the person who is uttering these words is the enemy’s war minister and he knows that wars on Gaza or Lebanon shall not lead him to victories.”

“The resistance is growing stronger and more effective,” Hezbollah chief stressed, affirming that the enemy’s plots shall fail.
