NCVC Organizes Events and Volunteer Opportunities to Celebrate Mangrove Day in Several Regions

The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has organized various events, initiatives, and volunteer opportunities to plant and clean mangrove forests. As part of its campaign to restore mangroves, these activities coincide with the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem for the year 2024.

The events will include volunteer and environmental awareness programs in several regions of the Kingdom, such as Riyadh, Asir, the Eastern Region, Jeddah, and Jazan. The pavilions will also highlight the efforts made to protect them.

The center’s work revolves around planting and protecting mangrove trees. It has already planted millions of trees on the coasts of the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf and aims to gr
ow more to support the Kingdom’s efforts to plant millions of mangrove trees in the coming years. This goal aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
