NCVC’s Rangeland Department Granted ISO Certification in Quality Management System

The General Department of Rangelands at the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) has been granted ISO certification for Quality Management Systems, according to a press release from the NCVC.

This is proof of the department’s commitment to improving the quality of its management practices and ensuring compliance with the requirements needed to achieve its objectives.

Quality management involves creating 53 operational procedures and templates, and holding training sessions in quality management awareness and internal auditing.

The certification highlights the department’s dedication to operational excellence, which leads to better planning, resource management, and administrative services, improves operational performance and efficiency, and boosts productivity and overall success. Furthermore, it strengthens planning and oversight mechanisms for resource management.

The release noted that the General Department of Rangelands has collaborated with a spe
cialized company to adopt international quality management standards that will help it rehabilitate natural rangelands, restore vegetation cover, and produce saplings and seeds in various regions of the Kingdom.

“NCVC remains committed to developing, protecting, and monitoring vegetation cover sites, rehabilitating degraded areas, and planting green belts to stabilize sand dunes. These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s ongoing dedication to preserving its natural heritage for future generations,” the release read.
