The National Liberal Party welcomed, in a statement on Saturday, “the initiative launched by the Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, to invite Christian deputies to a spiritual retreat and prayer to address the issue of the presidential elections,” affirming its acceptance of the invitation.

It is to note that during his recent visit to Bkirki, the NLP Chief, former MP Dori Chamoun, called on the Patriarch to invite the Christian deputies, especially the Maronites, to Bkirki to push them to assume their responsibilities.
