Long, extremely cold and unpredictable winters in NW Syria cause acute suffering for 2 million people living without adequate shelter. Most people living in old tents in IDP sites without adequate sewage, drainage, electricity or water supply are children.

1.8 million people live in over 1,400 unplanned IDP sites.

56% of people living in IDP sites are children.

800,000 people live in old tents.

93% of tents are more than 1 year old.
