Dubai, Patriarch John X Yaziji of Antioch and All the East for Rome orthodox and an accompanying delegation visited on Thursday the Syrian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The patriarch and members of the delegation toured sections of the pavilion and inspected the exhibits including an original copy of Ugarit alphabet.

“The Syrian participation in this international exhibition is in itself a challenge to the death and terrorism,” the patriarch said in a press statement.

“What we have seen here in the pavilion of historic exhibits and ancient books prove that this country and land is the source and spring of culture, science and civilization,” Patriarch John X added.
