PM: Egypt promoted as distinguished investment destination at Expo 2020

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted that Egypt’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is meant to promote Egypt as a distinguished investment destination in the region.

He added that Egypt was keen to show up in a proper way that is commensurate with its position at the regional and international levels.

He highlighted that Egypt is accomplishing giant national projects in the infrastructure domain and took measures for luring foreign investments in addition to the establishment of smart cities and the industrial zones alongside the Suez Canal Economic Zone.

Madbouli expressed happiness for launching Egypt’s National Day at the Expo 2020.

Meanwhile, Trade and Industry Minister Nivine Gamea said the Egyptian government was keen that Egypt’s pavilion would reflect its ancient civilization, the national vision for development and available investment opportunities in various domains.

The premier inspected the Egyptian Pavilion which houses some artifacts alongside replicas of King Tut Ankh Amun’s golden mask, royal casket and chair.

She said the Egyptian pavilion was designed to reflect the Egyptian identity with Hieroglyphic inscriptions on the walls and murals reflecting the country’s identity and depicting its ancient and modern history.

She noted that about 113 events are scheduled to be held at the Egyptian pavilion on several issues, including cities and urban development, tourism, sustainable development, health, agriculture, improving people’s standards of living, as well as empowering women and youth.
