Psychological support activities arranged for children of shelters affected by the quake in Hama

Hama, SANA-With the aim of alleviating the effects of the earthquake on children, Hama Culture Directorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Trust for Development and the Social Welfare Association, organized activities for psychological support and entertainment activities in two shelters at Omar Yahya al-Faraji School and the Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Hama.

The activities done by the volunteer youth team at the Directorate of Culture on a daily basis include interactive meetings with children and their families through meaningful dialogues, in relation to psychological support, protection from risks and how to combat rumors, along with drawing workshops and recreational sports games.

“These activities are an attempt to mitigate the tragedy, spread an atmosphere of joy among children, and draw a smile on their faces, to overcome the negative impacts of this disaster and build .
