Moscow, -Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday Moscow’s support for the United Nations’ proposals for delivering humanitarian aid to the population of the city of Aleppo through al-Castello Road.

“We support the UN proposal to establish joint control over the delivery of humanitarian aid to Aleppo’s population via Castello Road,” the ministry said in a statement, adding that “our military experts are discussing the issue with UN representatives and US colleagues.”

The ministry added in its statement that “due to the current conditions, we are ready, in cooperation with the Syrian government, to give all interested organizations the possibility of delivering humanitarian aid safely to the people of Aleppo who suffer from lack of food and medical supplies.”
