Riyadh: The Saudi-Iraqi Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Shura Council and its counterpart at the Iraqi Council of Representatives convened a meeting in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The delegations, led by Shura Council member and Friendship Committee Chairman Ibrahim al-Qannas and Iraqi MP Shaalan Al-Karim, discussed their two countries’ relations across various sectors.
The delegations also explored avenues to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
They highlighted the importance of activating the role of their respective friendship committees to contribute to fostering cooperation and joint work between Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
The discussions also included several issues of mutual concern.
