RIYADH, Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz will launch a people-driven campaign Wed to ease the suffering of the Syrian people.

Saudi Royal Diwan issued a statement quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying that such campaign was to help the Syrians, “especially evacuated from Aleppo and other areas, who have been displaced and because of the difficult situation they face as well as hurting times they pass”.

The Saudi leader, also ordered Saudi Riyal (SR) 100 million for the campaign. King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works will coordinate with authorities to provide aid items, such as foodstuffs, medicine and shelters to receive the injured for treatment, furnished camps and prompt delivery of whole package wintertime aid.

The King has initiated the campaign by donating SR 20 million. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Nayeff donated SR 10 million. Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman donated SR eight million.
