SAUDI, QATARI FOREIGN MINISTERS TACKLE SITUATION IN SUDAN, EVACUATION PROCESS DURING A PHONE CALL TODAY

Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, received today a phone call from the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, according to “Russia Today” news agency.

The Qatari minister congratulated the success of the evacuation of Saudi citizens and a number of citizens of brotherly and friendly countries from Sudan to the Kingdom, expressing his “appreciation for the evacuation of a number of Qataris.”

The two ministers also discussed efforts to stop the military escalation between the conflicting parties, end the violence, provide the necessary protection for Sudanese civilians, and calm the escalating tensions in a number of vital locations inside Sudan.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry had announced the evacuation of its citizens and a number of nationals of brotherly and friendly countries, including diplomats and international officials from Sudan, in an operation carried out by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
