Senam Abdullah Ibrahim Mestou, girl aged 15, from Ba’diena village, administratively affiliated with Afrin city, in northern Aleppo governorate. She was abducted on November 17, 2022, by the SDF’s al-Shabiba al-Thawriya ‘’Joanne Schurchkar’ (Revolutionary Youth) from their place of residence in al-Shahba IDP camp in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate. She was taken to an SDF recruitment center.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights notes that her family was not notified of what had happened to her. She was not allowed to contact or visit them. We have concerns that she will be thrust into direct and indirect military acts.

It should be noted that roughly 213 children are currently conscripted in SDF military training camps.
