Baniyas: A tanker carrying domestic gas arrived at the oil terminal of the Syrian Oil Transport Company in Baniyas city and began unloading its cargo today. It is the second tanker to arrive after the fall of the former overthrown regime.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the head of the marine terminal department at the Syrian Oil Transport Company, Eng. Majd al-Sini, said in a statement that the company’s cadres began the process of unloading the gas tanker ‘Gas Catalina’ with a capacity of 4,600 tons of domestic gas. This operation commenced after the Baniyas Gas Department took samples from the shipment, analyzed them, and subsequently gave approval for the connection and unloading process to proceed.
Al-Sini noted that the crews of the marine division in the terminal department, accompanied by the connection boat, the guide, and the sailors, promptly headed to begin the process of connecting the ship to the berth designated for importing domestic gas and kerosene.
