Semerikov: Central Asia threatened by infiltration of terrorists due to Turkish aggression on Syria
Moscow, Acting Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Valery Semerikov warned that the region expects that Daesh (ISIS) terrorists who have escaped from prisons due to the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory will arrive in Central Asia.
These are not just expectations, Semerikov told reporters in Moscow on Tuesday.
It is a fact, many terrorists, including those from the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization after their defeat in Syria have returned to their origin countries, he added.
Semerikov noted that With regard to the return of these terrorists after the Turkish invasion of the Syrian territories, the most threatened areas under the responsibility of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is Central Asia due, in the first place, to the situation in Afghanistan.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) established in May 15th 1992 from a collation that includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan
