Sheikh Essa Award for voluntary work launches 13th edition

The 13th edition of Sheikh Essa Al-Khalifah award for voluntary work will center on honoring prominent figures in the the Arab world, affirmed President of Arab Voluntary Union Hassan Buhazaa on Sunday.

Buhazaa, head of Al-Kalema Al-Tayeba society, in press statement, said that these figures are chosen according to objective standards and mechanisms.

He attributed the notable developments the award underwent over the past 13 years to the unwavering support of Bahraini Ministry of Cabinet Affairs Undersecretary Sheikh Essa Al-Khalifah, commending Bahrain for its efforts in promoting voluntary work culture and social solidarity principles.

Buhazaa noted that this is a hefty responsibility and great challenge that stimulates the strive to cope with ongoing developments and achieve humanitarian goals.
