Damascus, SANA-Syrian team has gained a silver medal at Asia-Pacific Olympiad for IT which is organized by Russia through internet on May 18th for students from 40 countries.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency told SANA that student Tamer Akram from Sweida province, member of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad team, came in the 36 place out of 201 participants from countries including China, Japan, Russia and Australia.

Asia-Pacific Olympiad for IT is a preparatory station for the Syrian team which will take part in the International Olympiad competition due to be held during next July in Azerbaijan.
