President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that Egypt has outlined an integrated strategy for the management and development of water resources till 2037 at an initial cost of dlrs 50 billion to face the tough and complicated challenges in this regard especially that Egypt is one of the most dry countries in the world as regards the amounts of rains.

Addressing the 4th edition of Cairo Water Week, Sisi said Egypt is looking forward to reach to a binding and balanced agreement concerning Ethiopia’s Grand Renaissance Dam in compliance with the UN Security Council statement issued in September, 2021.

Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said CWW is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and organized by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation under the theme of “Water, Population and Global Changes: Challenges and Opportunities.”

The CWW aims to reach sustainable solutions for managing water resources and to face up to population increase.

As many as 1,000 figures are taking part in the event, along with 800 participants joining the gathering’s sessions Online.
