Manama, Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the Sixth Youth Entrepreneurship Forum (Micro Shabab) opened at the University of Bahrain (UoB).
The forum was organised by the Future Society for Youth in coordination with the Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Initiatives at UoB, and will run from October 1-3 in the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the university’s Sakhir campus.
HH Shaikh Khalid commended the forum, noting that it reflects Bahrain’s commitment to supporting youth in entrepreneurship and innovation. He highlighted the importance of platforms that develop youth skills and prepare them as future leaders. He also noted that the forum plays a vital role in fostering youth contributions to society and the national economy, providing a great opportunity to explore new ideas
and start-up projects that will drive Bahrain’s economic growth.
He expressed pride in the ongoing successes of Bahraini youth in various domains, emphasising that such initiatives align with the leadership’s vision to build an innovative generation capable of overcoming challenges. He added that these initiatives give young Bahrainis opportunities to connect with experts and investors, opening new horizons for turning their ideas into successful projects. HH Shaikh Khalid stressed the importance of supporting such events, which equip youth with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve their ambitions, and encouraged participants to take full advantage of the forum to learn and grow in the field of entrepreneurship, wishing them success.
The three-day forum aims to instill key principles of competitiveness by sharing expert experiences in entrepreneurship, inspiring youth through idea exchange, and preparing them to manage successful modern projects. Sessions will cover essential topics such as building a
brand identity, success stories, funding and incubation, and the role of artificial intelligence in advancing entrepreneurship through social media.
