Speaker Sabbagh: Priorities are eliminating remaining terrorist hotspots and bolstering reconciliations

Damascus, Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hamoudeh Sabbagh said that Syria’s priorities today are eliminating the remaining terrorist hotspots, bolstering local reconciliation, ensuring the return of displaced people to their areas, and reconstruction.

During a meeting with a European parliamentary delegation, Sabbagh said that Syria has managed to thwart all conspiracies and it will continue to deal with any suspicious schemes that target its unity and sovereignty, especially as it fights terrorism on behalf of the world.

The members of the delegation stressed that their visit to Syria is an opportunity to learn about the reality of the events away from the misleading Western media, pointing out that the facts on the ground showed that the Syrian people embrace the culture of life and the will of victory.
