Belgrade, The 141st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) kicked off in Belgrade, Serbia on Monday evening with the participation of Syria.

Participants in the meetings of the Assembly, which includes more than (1700) parliamentarians from different countries of the world, will discuss ways to strengthen international law, parliamentary roles and mechanisms and the contribution of regional cooperation.

MPs will also discuss the latest developments to improve gender equality, empower young people, defend MPs’ human rights, and achieve comprehensive health coverage.
