A young girl, 13, from Manbej city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, Marwa Muhammad was abducted by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel on May 10, 2022, from her home in the city for conscription, and taken to recruitment center.

SNHR notes that the girl’s parents have not been informed of her whereabouts, and she hasn’t been allowed to contact her family, who are also forbidden from visiting her. We fear she may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 156 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces recruitment camps.
