Syria’s Ambassador in Baghdad Satam Jadaan al-Dandah discussed on Monday with Director General of Civil Status, Passports and Residence, Major General Riyad Jundi al-Kaabi bolstering cooperation and coordination between the two countries to serve the joint interest, and the working conditions of the Syrians in Iraq and prevent their exploitation by the employers.

Al-Dandah called for tackling the situations of the Syrian persons in breach of the residence act and allow them to enter Iraq after settling their legal status and paying fines.

Al-Dandah stressed the importance of granting entry visas to the Syrians from the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus or through Iraqi airports, in addition to providing facilitation to the Syrian community in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and allowing them to visit the embassy to complete the consular documents.
