The Prime Minister of the Syrian Arab Republic, Hussein Arnous, received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Damascus, Waheed Mubarak Sayyar.

During the meeting, the Syrian Prime Minister congratulated Waheed Sayyar on his appointment as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Syria, wishing him success in his diplomatic duties. He stressed the Syrian government’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations in the economic, commercial, investment, health, scientific, cultural and tourism fields as well as activate the agreements signed by both countries and the work of the joint ministerial committee.

For his part, the ambassador affirmed Bahrain’s keenness on the security and stability of the Syrian Arab Republic, supporting its unity and independence, and refusing interference in its internal affairs. He expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality.
