Doha: On the sidelines of the ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025) held in Doha, Syria and Saudi Arabia engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the civil aviation sector. The meeting brought together Mr. Ashhad al-Salibi, Head of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of Syria, and Abdulaziz al-Duailej, Head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the discussions centered around developing strategic partnerships in aviation to improve air safety and enhance airport facilities. The Civil Aviation Authority noted on its Telegram channel that the meeting focused on mechanisms to elevate the levels of cooperation between the two nations in the aviation domain.
The talks also emphasized the importance of providing superior transportation services to Syrian pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj. This initiative aims to strengthen the collaborative efforts of the Syrian and Saudi aviation authorities in facilitating smoother travel experiences for pilgrims.
